was created by the founders of Citywide Ambulance, one of the largest ambulance services in New York City providing EMS and community Paramedicine for the past 25 years.

Our dedication to saving lives and assisting over 100,000 patients a year is what continuously inspires us to innovate and reach higher standards in patient care.

 

Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic patients have been searching for alternatives to traditional healthcare, wanting to avoid unnecessary exposure to germs and viruses in crowded waiting rooms. Additionally, thousands of patients are transported to hospitals simply because they have no other alternatives. They don’t need hospital level care, yet they cannot be left home. Whether their Doctor is on vacation, it’s after regular office hours, or there’s no one to drive them.

Patients turned to Telemedicine, which turned out to be a great alternative, but not for all. Telemedicine has its limits. Elderly patients are often unfamiliar with the use of technology, and in most cases need to be examined in person to properly assess vitals and necessary testing. These patients who are perhaps the most vulnerable among us are not able to fully benefit from Telemedicine.

 

In addition, the Doctor cannot touch, or feel the patient. They cannot look into the inner ear or listen to lung sounds over traditional Telehealth.

 

Patients very often, after being discharged from the hospital find themselves overwhelmed by unclear directions of how to manage their medications and overall care. This very often leads to avoidable rehospitalizations.

 

While searching for alternatives, the PCP who plays the most essential role in patient care has been forgotten.

Our trained and dedicated responders will come to your home and be the hands of the provider. They have the training and technology to assist the provider to appropriately diagnose the patient and provide care after a thorough and comprehensive evaluation. It is the solution where urgent care, Telehealth, and Value based care come full circle. We serve as an extension of the physician; we are their eyes, ears and hands.
